Introducing Kai Xin, Acupuncture Therapy Dog
5 Seasons Acupuncture would like to introduce the newest member of our health care team. Kai Xin is an Australian Shepherd miniature breed dog that is in training to receive her therapy certification. She already instinctively brings forward all the healing qualities of a full-grown, certified therapy dog. Her Chinese name is Kai Xin (pronounced Kai Shin), which translated means “Happiness” or more literally, “Open Heart.” Most of our clients call her Kai for short.
Australian Shepherds are very intelligent, compassionate, nurturing dogs, which make them a natural choice for therapy dogs. Kai Xin was the runt of her litter, and came out with a very sensitive and soft spirit. She loves people and is very gentle and intuitive to those around her. She already spends time in the office “working,” and when fully trained, will work full time. Kai Xin will work with those under my Hospice care and their families, those seeking treatment for PTSD, trauma and mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression, as well as patients who may have phobias surrounding needles. She will, of course, also work with the pediatric population of 5 Seasons!

Our office is located in South Lebanon, just off Route 72, near the North Cornwall Health Center.
Before going to 5 Seasons Acupuncture, I had never had an acupuncture treatment before. After attending my sessions, I can not be any more pleased with the results. The temporary dis-ease I felt on multiple occasions vanished. Barbara is friendly, welcoming, and highly educated in Traditional Chinese Modalities. I would certainly recommend 5 Seasons Acupuncture to anyone who is experiencing dis-ease or individuals seeking to increase their holistic health.

Testimonals
I have been taking medication for trigeminal neuralgia for 13 years. The condition is under control for the most part. When I have pain, it is the worst I’ve ever experienced – an 11 out of 10. I have tried many alternative remedies, but nothing has helped until I tried acupuncture. Barbara tries to get to the root of the problem, not just treat issues on the surface. I so appreciate that! I have been able to reduce my medicine and I know we are on the right path to healing.
In addition, I have started to discover all the benefits of acupuncture. My immune system is functioning in an amazing way. In the three years I have been seeing Barbara, I have not had a cold. My health diary will tell you I am sick at least three times per year with major congestion etc. Barbara spends time with her patients, understanding their needs and finding solutions with acupuncture. She is a godsend!

For years I have had temporal mandibular dystonia which causes jaw spasms. I have tried Botox injections to my jaw from a neurologist at John Hopkins which was unsuccessful. My family doctor recommended that I try acupuncture. After two sessions from Barbara at 5 Seasons Acupuncture, the spasms are gone!
My overall health continues to improve each time I am treated. I highly recommend acupuncture at 5 Seasons to my friends and family.
